Be The Good

Here is an idea for using an old window frame.  I saw THIS idea on pinterest and decided to make my own.  The window frame hangs in my basement, but I took pictures upstairs for better lighting (this is why it is sitting on the floor in the pictures).  I printed a poster from Paper Coterie (love them!).  The poster has an adhesive back and is repositionable.  Next I cleaned and painted an old window frame (wear a mask!) .  I always top the paint on old frames with a coat of polyurethane to seal everything in.  You can tape over the glass in the frame while you paint, or just paint away and then scrape it off after it dries.  It takes about the same amount of effort either way.

I put sawtooth picture hangers on the back of the frame.  I measured and centered the poster and then stuck it directly on the glass of the window frame.  I really like how it turned out!  I am sharing my poster print HERE.

Nativity Blocks

I'm sure you have seen these nativity sets.  They are a simple and cute Christmas project.  We are selling the unfinished block sets for only $1.50!  I finished my sets using wood knobs size 1 3/4" for Joseph, 1 1/2" for Mary, and 1" for baby Jesus.  I cut stars from sheet metal, but you can purchase precut stars from a craft store.  I attached the tag with jute.  Make a bunch!  Block sets can be ordered HERE.  Nativity tag is available HERE.

Snowman Kits

Last year we made snowman kits to give to our neighbors and friends with kids.  Each kit includes 5 "coal" pieces for the mouth, 2 "coal" pieces for eyes, and 3 "button" pieces.  I spray painted the parts and then my kids decorated them with paint and sponges.  It was a fun project.  Unfinished kits are $5 available HERE.  Happy Holidays!
